Under "Edit Theme" and "Options", you’ll find the option to add your own CSS styles at the very end. Is there a preview for my theme? Yes. A preview of your theme settings is available under Liveblog Integration or when editing a theme. The preview is displayed on the right-hand side. What is the Widget Code Generator? How many live blog themes should I create?

You can create as many themes as you like.  If you cover news and sports, it makes sense to create separate themes for each. Additionally, you can set up different themes for different websites or domains and adjust them to match the look and feel of each site. You do not need to create a separate theme for web/app versions or light/dark mode.  Info on flipping live blogs (Sorting): Since there is also the option to change the sorting of a liveblog from oldest to newest post after coverage has ended (which can be set in the theme), it is a good idea to create a separate theme for flipped live blogs. If you edit a theme and change the "Sorting", all live blogs using this theme will be affected. Therefore, if you want to flip a live blog after coverage, it is better to change the theme ID instead of modifying the theme itself.

Live Blog Sorting: Oldest to Newest Post

Live blogs can be flipped after coverage ends so that the oldest posts appear at the top. This makes it easier for readers to follow events in chronological order. It is recommended to create a separate theme for flipped live blogs to avoid changing all live blogs that use the same theme. After coverage ends, you can change the theme ID of the specific live blog to apply the flipped order. If you edit the theme itself instead, all live blogs using that theme will be flipped. To do this, open the Live Blog Integration and create a new theme. Set up the desired layout and design. Under "Options," select "Sorting" and choose "Oldest first." Live blogs using this theme will then start with the oldest post at the top.

Live Blog Post Notifications

When new posts appear in the live blog, you can set in advance whether your readers should be notified or not. In the Theme Generator, under Options, you can choose the notification setting (Changes) to determine how readers are informed about new posts in the live blog.  There are three options: Auto: Liveblog automatically refreshes when contents are added or changed. Notify: A little notification notifies readers about content changes. Refresh is manually triggered by the reader. Off: Content needs to be manually refreshed by browser reload. Readers won't get notified about content changes.
